VILLE PLATTE - A Funeral Service will be held for Yvette Michelle Richard at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Ville Platte, LA. Deacon Chuck Ortego will conduct services.

Yvette Michelle Richard, 55, passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2023, at her residence. She was born on March 4, 1968, in Ville Platte, LA to Robert Lee and Betty Jane Lavergne Richard. Michelle had a heart of gold and a love for children.  Everyone referred to her as “Nanny”.  She was a loving mother, daughter, sister, and friend.  Michelle enjoyed a good game of Pokeno and being outdoors tending to her flowers and garden.  She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her parents, Robert Lee and Betty Jane Lavergne Richard; sister, Krystal Richard;  daughter, Hailey Brooke Fontenot and partner, Michael Clark; sons, Joseph Brody Cam Fontenot and Tanner Shai Fontenot and companion, Ashley Renee' Henry; grandchildren, Cappi Jace Soileau, Emma A'delle Soileau, Elle' Jolie' Soileau, Cami Lillian Fontenot, Sierra Fontenot, Cam Fontenot Jr., and Travelle, Jayden, and Tristen Henry;  her second Mom, Mrs. Barbara Kruszynsky; the father of her children, Tony Renack Fontenot; and Alvin Edwards. And a host of relatives and friends

She is preceded in death by her brothers, Robert Troy Richard, Anthony Shane Richard, Michael Todd Richard, and Jared Laine Richard; maternal grandparents, Cam Lavergne and Lillian Meche; and paternal grandparents, Willis and Nola Richard.

Visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home of Ville Platte on Wednesday, March 8, 2023, from 10:00 AM until 8:00 PM.
