Ville Platte It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Winston Costete Fontenot announces his passing on Sunday, February 13, 2011. He was 71. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Rite of Committal will follow in the Old Ville Platte Cemetery with Fr. Gene Tremie Celebrant.
Winston will be lovingly remembered by all those who knew and loved him especially his three daughters, Loraine Clark and husband, Marvin of Pine Prairie, Pamela Fontenot and Christina Fontenot both of Ville Platte five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
He now rests in Heaven with his wife, Rose Fontenot a son, Joseph Jerris Fontenot and his parents, Austin and Lilly Fontenot.
At the request of the family visiting hours will be observed Monday, February 14, 2011 from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and again Tuesday, February 15, 2011 from 8:00 a.m. until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Monday evening.
