VILLE PLATTE It is with great sadness that the family of Willie Marie Smith, 67, announces her passing on Saturday, November 27, 2010 at 2:10 PM in the Mercy Regional Hospital of Ville Platte. .Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM Monday, November 29, 2010 at Our Lady Queen of all Saints Cataholic Church. Burial will follow in the Eternal Rest Cemetery with Father Sensat officiating.
A loving mother, grandmother, and sister, Mrs. Smith will be lovingly remembered by one son Michael John Smith wife Mechelle of Leonville, two daughters Dianna Blood husband Stoney Sr. of Ville Platte and Elia A. Soileau husband John B. of Pine Prairie, one sister Margaret Anna Benoit of Opelousas, three brothers Robert Ortego of Bayou Chicot, Stanley Ortego of Lemoine, and Henry Ortego of Chataignier, eight Grandchildren and two Great Grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Harry Smith, her parents Justin and Anna Ortego, a son Joseph Glenn Smith, brothers David Ortego, Floyd Ortego, and James Ortego and a sister Juanita Buller.
At the request of the family, visitation will begin on Sunday, November 28, 2010 at 11 AM and continue until time of services on Monday. A rosary will be prayed at 6:30 PM Sunday evening.
Arrangements are under the direction of Ardoins Funeral Home of Ville Platte.
