TURKEY CREEK- Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM for Willard Leyser, 86, at Trinity Baptist Church of Turkey Creek on Saturday, December 30, 2017, who passed away on Tuesday, December 26, 2017, at Mercy Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loved ones.

Pastor Eddie Wallace will be conducting the funeral services.

Rite of Comital will take place in Turkey Creek Cemetery.

Willard worked in construction for many years as a pipefitter. He proudly served in the US Army for 4 years during the Korean War.

His memories will live on through his family. He is survived by his son, Larry Leyser of Turkey Creek; daughter, Sherry Leyser Wilson and husband Howard of Broussard; sister, Lois Dagnon of Rockford, IL; 5 grandchildren, Joshua Leyser, Kallie Leyser Moorefield and husband Matthew, Peyton Wilson, Braxton Wilson and Brianna Webb and husband Jonathon; and 2 great-grandchildren, Henry Webb and Audrey Moorefield.

Willard is preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Opal Smith Leyser, daughters, Brenda Leyser and Beverly Leyser; parents, Corbett Leyser and Eva Smith Leyser, brother, Allen Leyser; and sisters, Elsie Kaigler and Helen Marcantel.

The family request that visitation be observed at Trinity Baptist Church in Turkey Creek on Saturday, December 30, 2017 from 10:00 AM until time of service.
