GRAND PRAIRIE- It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Wilda Soileau, age 84, announces her passing on Friday, December 18, 2015 at Flannery Oaks Nursing Home in Baton Rouge. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 21, 2015 at 1 PM at St. Peters Catholic Church in Grand Prairie. Burial will follow in the St. Peters Catholic Church Cemetery with Father Clement as celebrant.
A loving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend, Wilda will be greatly missed by her daughter, Cheryl Jeanmard and husband Frank of Baton Rouge, sisters, Mercedes Fontenot of Grand Prairie, Nettie Perrodin of Grand Prairie, and Nell Jean Arceneau of Grand Prairie. Also left behind to cherish her memory are numerous nieces and nephews and two grandsons, Paul Jeanmard of Baton Rouge and Mark Jeanmard and wife Anne of Slidell.
Wilda is now reunited in Heaven with her husband Paul Sylvan Soileau, parents, Eugene and Alda Soileau and brothers, Ivan Soileau and Rayburn Soileau.
At the request of the Soileau family, a visitation will be held on Sunday, December 20, 2015 at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Ville Platte from 4 PM until 8 PM. Visitation will reopen at 12 noon on Monday, December 21, 2015 at St. Peters Catholic Church in Grand Prairie. A rosary will be prayed in Ms. Soileau's honor Sunday evening at 6:30.
All arrangements have been entrusted to Ardoin's Funeral Home of Ville Platte.
