Ville Platte Funeral services for Wilda Johnson, 78, will be held Thursday, November 20, 2008 at 11 a.m. in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Evangeline Memorial Cemetery. Fr. Gene Tremie will officiate the services.

Ms. Johnson, a resident of Ville Platte, died Tuesday, November 18, 2008 in Ville Platte Medical Center at 2:30 a.m.

A loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister she is survived by three sons, Carl W. Johnson of Madison, Ms., Phillip Johnson of Ville Platte, and Douglas C. Johnson of Vidrine; three daughters, Sonia Gauthier of Pearl, Ms., Linda Raney of Bryam, Ms., and Pat Johnson of Franklin; two brothers, Hersey Guillory of Metairie and Yves Guillory of Brandon, Ms.; eighteen grandchildren and thirty seven great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, A.V. Johnson and a daughter, Judy K. Johnson.

Family request that visiting hours be observed Wednesday, November 19, 2008 from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. and again on Thursday from 8 a.m. until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m.
