VILLE PLATTE – Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Ville Platte, on Saturday, January 29, 2022, for Wayne Vidrine, 76, who passed away on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.
Brother Kevin West will conduct services.
Burial will take place at Evangeline Memorial Park Cemetery.
A lifelong resident of Ville Platte, Wayne was born on June 28, 1945, to Nestor and Una Vidrine. Wayne graduated from TH Harris with a certificate as an Electrician. He worked as a Lineman and supervisor for CLECO for over 28 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. Wayne loved to ride around visiting with friends. His family and friends will miss him dearly but rejoice in knowing he is celebrated in heaven.
Wayne is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Sue Fontenot Vidrine; son, Casey Vidrine and wife, Emily of Lake Charles; daughters, Erica Ardoin and husband, Brodie of Washington, LA and Angela Hollier and husband, Scott of Lafayette; 11 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brothers, Mike Vidrine and wife, Charlotte and Carol Vidrine and wife, Lou; and sister, Ollie Brown and husband, Homer of Baton Rouge.
He is preceded in death by her parents, Nestor and Una Vidrine; son, Ben Vidrine; and brothers, Donald Vidrine, Larry Vidrine; and Earlis Vidrine.
At the request of the family, visitation will take place at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Ville Platte on Saturday, January 29, 2022, from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM.
