Ville Platte It is with great sadness that the family of Dale Sittig announces his passing on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at Mercy Regional Hospital in Ville Platte at the age of 53. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 26, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Ville Platte. Rite of Committal will be held in the Belaire Cove Cemetery with Fr. Joshua Guillory as Celebrant.
A loving and devoted husband, father, son, and brother, Dale will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 30 years, Maria Vidrine Sittig of Ville Platte and his two children: Jeffrey Sittig of Baton Rouge and Joni Sittig of Ville Platte. Also left behind are his parents, Vincent Sittig and Loretta Midkiff of Eunice, one sister, Renee Ortego and husband, Ricky of Eunice, his fatherinlaw and motherinlaw, Earlis and Shirley Vidrine of Ville Platte, sister and brothersinlaw, Peggy and Roy Hudspeth, Chris and Becky Vidrine, Danny and Leticia Vidrine, and Phillip Vidrine and several nieces and nephews.
Dale fought a long and courageous battle with cancer for over seven years he was an inspiration to all who knew him. His captivating smile will be a sweet memory for all of his family and dear friends. He was valued employee at Soileau Industries of Ville Platte for twenty seven years.
At the request of the family visitation will be held Friday, January 25, 2013 from 12:00 p.m. until 10: 00 p.m. and again Saturday, January 26, 2013 from 8:00 a.m. until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Friday evening.
