Ville Platte Funeral services for Mrs. Versie Marie Landreneau, 80, will be held Friday, January 25, 2008 at 10 a.m. in Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Gates of Heaven Cemetery. Fr. Timothy Richard will officiate the services.

Mrs. Landreneau, a native and resident of Ville Platte, died Tuesday, January 22, 2008 in Ville Platte Medical Center. She said the Rosary in French for Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church on KVPI for many years and attended daily mass for over 40 years. She was the owner and operator of Versies Fabric Shop and was a clerk years earlier for G. Ardoin Store in Ville Platte. Also, she was a member of the Catholic Daughters Organization.

Survivors include a son, Charles Roy Landreneau of Ville Platte; one daughter, Anora Dean Landreneau Guillory and husband, Ricky of Ville Platte; two brothers, Joseph Joe E. Richard of Prairie Rhonde and John Lewis Richard of Minnesota; and three sisters, Marie C. Jones of Mamou, Ethel Lee Daire of Mamou, and Una Mae Thibodeaux of Prairie Rhonde.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Roy Landreneau and her parents, Joseph Eveton and Josephine Odette Richard.

Visitation will be held Thursday, January 24, 2008 from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. and on Friday from 8 a.m. until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 7:15 p.m. Thursday.
