VILLE PLATTE- The family of Veronica Lynn Ortego, age 58, announces her passing on Friday, March 11, 2016 at her residence. Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 13, 2016 at 2 PM at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Pine Prairie. Burial will follow in the St. Peter's Cemetery with Father Kenneth Mayne officiating.
A visitation will be held Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Ville Platte from 3 PM until 9 PM and will reopen Sunday at 8 AM until time of services. A rosary will be prayed in her honor Saturday evening at 7 PM.
Mrs. Ortego will be greatly missed by her husband of 40 years, JC Ortego of Pine Prairie, sons, Joshua Randall Ortego and wife Tiffany of Ville Platte and Devin Chase Ortego of Pine Prairie, brother, Phillip Delafosse and wife Terri of Clarks Landing, La. And sister, Ramona Compton and husband Jason of Pine Prairie. Also left behind to cherish her memory are her two grandchildren, Nicholas Randall Ortego and Sarah Lynn Ortego.
She will now reunite in Heaven with her parents, Joseph Hersey and Mary Ann Delafosse and brother, James Randall Delafosse.
Arrangements are entrusted to Ardoin's Funeral Home of Ville Platte, La.
