VILLE PLATTE It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of Vernon Dale Comeaux, 60, announces the passing of their beloved patriarch. Dale left this world to join his Savior in the next, Sunday, August 17, 2014 while a patient at Lafayette General Hospital. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:30 PM Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church of Ville Platte with Rite of Committal to follow in the M. B. Fontenot Cemetery Father Mitchell Guidry will officiate.

A devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother, Dale leaves behind his loyal wife of thirty eight years, Rita Gayle Vidrine Comeaux and their children: Christopher Comeaux and his companion, Kim Brown of Plaisance, Jeremy Comeaux and his wife, Brittany, Lorrie Taffi and her husband, James and Abby Comeaux, all of Ville Platte. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of his precious grandchildren: Areonna Pierce, Hunter Comeaux, Kaleb Taffi and Landon Comeaux. Also left behind, his brothers: Michael Comeaux, Carl Comeaux and his wife, Ruby, David Comeaux and Russell Comeaux, all of Ville Platte.

He will now reunite in Heaven with his parents: Joseph Irby and Mary Goldie Laverne Comeaux and his sister, Jenell Comeaux their reunion will surely be a joyous occasion.

At the request of the Comeaux family, visitation will take place at Ardoins Funeral Home of Ville Platte beginning Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at 9:00 AM and will continue until the time of the service. A Rosary will be recited in Dales honor at 7:00 PM Tuesday evening.
