Ville Platte It is with great sadness that the family of Verlin Berzas, 87 announces her passing on Sunday, December 27, 2009 at Ville Platte Medical Center in Ville Platte. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Ardoins Funeral Home Chapel. Rite of Committal will follow in the Mount Carmel Cemetery in Chataignier with Rev. T.J. Richard officiating.br A resident of Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Verlin was very active. She would say the rosary in French every Monday morning. She enjoyed participating in activities such as Bingo, Christmas parties, Valentines Day, Mardi Gras festivities, and the Senior Olympics. A loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother, Verlin will be lovingly remembered by her son, Norman Berzas and wife, Linda of Ville Platte; five grandchildren, Richard Fruge, Jay Fruge, Jamie Fruge, Deneen Halle, and Ashley Clark; nine great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.br She is preceded in death by her husband, Roy Berzas; daughter, Delores Berzas Fruge; grandchild, Kirk Fruge; and a great grandchild, Ashton Clark.br The family request that visiting hours be observed Monday, December 28, 2009 from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and again on Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Monday evening.br
