VILLE PLATTE – Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Ville Platte on Wednesday, July 29, 2020, for Twala Ann Richard, 66, who passed away on Friday, July 24, 2020 in Ville Platte, Louisiana.
Brother Kevin West, pastor of First Baptist Church of Ville Platte, will conduct funeral services.
Burial will take place in Evangeline Memorial Park Cemetery.
Twala Ann Richard was born on June 11, 1954 in Ville Platte, LA to Walter Richard and Annie Tate Richard. Twala was free-spirited woman and she felt the freest when she was riding her Harley Davidson. She was very outgoing and full of life. She brought joy to everyone. Twala was an incredible cook and a marvelous baker. Her red velvet and lemon cakes were the absolute best. Twala was the epitome of all that is good, kind, patient, and loving in a mother. She loved selflessly and generously without condition. She had the ability to make a person feel like family with just her presence. Family was everything to her and she gave them all she had. Twala was loved and adored by so many and she will be greatly missed.
Twala is survived by her sons, Eric Werner and Jesse Richard; daughter, Amy Werner; and seven grandchildren, Jermaine Gallow, Jr., Aliyah Thomas, Roger Thomas, II, Tyler Taylor, Gabrielle Werner, Carter Taylor, and Jaxson Werner.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter Richard and Annie Tate Richard, and her brothers, Paul Aucoin and LD Aucoin.
At the request of the family, visitation will be observed at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Ville Platte on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 from 9:00 AM until time of service.
