Timothy Ray Ferguson

Timothy Ray Ferguson passed away at the age of 73, at Heritage Manor of Ville Platte after a battle with lung disease. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am at First Baptist Church of Ville Platte on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 with the burial to follow at Ferguson Cemetery.

He dedicated nearly three decades of service as a store clerk at Vidrine's Ace Hardware in Ville Platte, where he became known for his kindness and dedication to both customers and colleagues alike. Prior to his tenure at Ace Hardware, Timothy honored his father's legacy by working as a lineman for the telephone company for 15 years.

Beyond his professional commitments, Timothy had a profound love for nature and found joy intending to his yard, nurturing flowers and plants. He was also an avid collector of antiques, and his greatest pleasure came from spending quality time with his grandchildren, sharing stories and creating lasting memories.

Timothy is survived by his beloved wife, Susan Ferguson; his children, Lacey Ferguson of Ville Platte, Ryan Ferguson and wife, Lacey of Sunset, and Brandon Ardoin; one brother, Kip Ferguson and wife, Sharon of Carlisle, Iowa; three sisters, Nell Magnuson of Maurice, Louisiana, Sally Robinson and husband, Jim of Ville Platte, and Pete Manuel and husband, Pat of Ville Platte; as well as his grandchildren, Noah, Christina Grace, Kaiden, and Andrew Timothy, all of Ville Platte, along with many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Murray and Leta Ferguson; his brother, Mickey; and his brother Johnny Ferguson and his wife, Sue.

Visitation will be held at First Baptist Church of Ville Platte on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, beginning at 9:00 am until the time of service.
