Theo served his country with great honor and pride as a soldier in the United States Army during the Second World War. He supported his beloved family working as a welder at Cabot Corporation in Tate Cove until 1952 when he was involved in an accident that left him wheelchair bound. His strong will and never ending determination would not allow this set back to stop him he returned to school to learn a new trade and then went back to Cabot, this time as an office clerk. Theo was a talented accordion player who loved Cajun and French music. He loved the outdoors, spending countless hours fishing and camping with his sons. Family vacations and traveling were also a passion of his. In his later years, he refused to let the world pass him by he never lost interest in current events and proudly competed in many wheelchair races in the Senior Olympics.
Memories of Theo will forever remain in the hearts of his son: Robert Landreneau and his wife, Anne Boisvert Landreneau of Arnaudville. He will also be sorely missed by his many cousins, nieces, nephews and his dear friends at Heritage Manor Nursing, where he resided.
He will reunite in Heaven with his beloved wife, Marie Ruby Fontenot Landreneau, his son James Theo Landreneau, his parents, Rene and Marie Vidrine Landreneau, three brothers, Robert Lee, Hosea and Elter Landreneau and three sisters, Alida Verrette, Esther Landreneau and infant, Ida Landreneau.
