VILLE PLATTE A wonderful mother, grandmother and friend, Thelma Fontenot OConnor will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Thelma died on Saturday, September 24, 2011 at Holly Hill Nursing Home in Sulphur. She was 90. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, September 26, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Our Lady Queen of all Saints Catholic Church in Ville Platte. Interment will follow in the Gates of Heaven Cemetery with Father Richard Vidrine Celebrant.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Juanita OConnor Douget and husband, Wilson of Moss Bluff eight grandchildren, twentyone great grandchildren and eighteen great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Erick OConnor one son, Harris OConnor her parents, Joseph and Marie Guillory Fontenot a brother, Hosea Fontenot and a sister, Theresa Soileau.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Ville Platte on Sunday, September 25th from 10:00 am until 9:00 pm and again on Monday, September 26th from 8:00 am until time of services. Deacon Eugene LeBouef will recite a Rosary at 6:30 pm Sunday evening.
