VILLE PLATTE- It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Teurling Lafleur, age 85, announces his passing on Monday, October 5, 2015 at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Ville Platte. Chapel services will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Ville Platte at 10 AM. Entombment will follow in the Sacred Heart Mausoleum.

T.J. is a United States Air Force Veteran and proudly served in the Merchant Marines.

A loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend, "T.J." will be greatly missed by his wife of 34 years, Paranell Vidrine Lafleur of Ville Platte, sons, Gregory Lafleur of Ville Platte and Kevin O'Conner and wife Jean of Lanse Aux Paille, daughters, Mindy Doucet and husband Mark of Ville Platte, Peggy Sue Ludeau of Ville Platte, Kim Colby and husband Larry of Vidrine and Tarlene Lafleur of Bayou Chicot and brother, Russell Lafleur of Lafayette. Also left behind to cherish his memory are his 10 grandchildren and 19 great grand-children.

T.J. now rests with his parents Joseph and Ethel Lafleur, brothers, Joseph Lafleur, Hilton Lafleur and Horace Lafleur, and sisters, Monita Soileau and Emma Lou Lafleur.

At the request of the Lafleur family, a visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Ville Platte from 10 AM until 9 PM and will reopen on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at 8 AM until time of services. A rosary will be prayed in Mr. Lafleur's honor Tuesday evening at 6 PM.
