Simone Rushing

Ville Platte It is with heavy hearts that the family of Simone Rushing, 58, announces her passing on Friday, January 25, 2013 at Opelousas General Medical Center. Service arrangements are pending at this time.
Simone, a resident of the Vidrine community, was a loving mother, grandmother and aunt. Her memory will be cherished by her three devoted children: Patrick Rushing of Albuquerque, NM, Carly Rushing of Baton Rouge and Marla Rushing of Lafayette. She also leaves behind the absolute light of her life, her grandchild, Eisley Simone Berzas. She will be lovingly remembered by her niece and nephew: Alaina Mancuso of Slaughter and Tanner Gutierrez of Baton Rouge.
She will reunite in Heaven with her parents and three siblings: Harold Rushing, Ramona Newman and Salem Rushing. They await her arrival with open arms and joyous hearts.
