VILLE PLATTE It is with heavy hearts that the family of Shirley David Catoire, 55, announces his passing on Sunday, November 17, 2013. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 PM Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at St. Peter Catholic Church of Grand Prairie with Rite of Committal to follow in the St. Peter Cemetery. Fr. Blaine Clement will officiate the services
David leaves behind his devoted wife of over thirty four years, Brenda Jordan Catoire of Ville Platte. He will be mourned by his precious godchild, Kristen Monique Richard and his siblings: James R. Catoire and his wife, Antonia of New Orleans, Norma Vidrine of Ville Platte and Brenda Richard and her husband, Ravis of Lafayette. His memory will be carried on by his fifteen nieces and nephews and a host of great nieces and nephews their stories will be of his big heart, hearty laugh and comical antics. Davids loss will be felt deeply by his long time employer and fellow coworkers at David R. LaFleurs Electrical Service and his sharp wit and tall tales will be sorely missed around the camp at High Point Hunting Club.
David will now reunite in Heaven with his parents, Shirley Joseph and Elna Fontenot Catoire and a sister, Loretta C. Richard Brown. Their long awaited reunion will surely be a joyous occasion.
At the request of the Catoire family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home of Ville Platte beginning at 10:00 AM Tuesday, November 19, 2013 and will continue until the time of the services Wednesday. A Rosary will be recited in his honor at 6:00 PM Tuesday evening.
