VILLE PLATTE - It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Shane Brown, 42, announces his passing on Friday, July 24, 2015. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 27, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 11:00 AM. Rite of committal will follow in the Fontenot Cemetery in Tate Cove with Fr. Richard Vidrine Celebrant.
Shane was an avid hunter, fisherman, and outdoorsman. His greatest joy was that of being a loving husband, son, father, and brother. Shane will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 16 years, Jada Morein Brown, parents Curtis and Geneva McDaniel Brown of Tate Cove, and three sons: Draven Brown of Baton Rouge, Tyler Brown and Nicholas Brown of Ville Platte. Also left behind to cherish his memory are his brother Jamie Brown of Ville Platte and sister Tina Brown and fiancé David Lanclos of Arnaudville.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Ville Platte on Sunday, July 26, 2015 from 2:00 PM until 10:00 PM and again on Monday, July 27 from 8:00 AM until time of service. A rosary will be recited in his honor Sunday evening at 6:00 PM.
