VILLE PLATTEA wonderful wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend, Ruth will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Ruth passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2011 at home surrounded by her loved ones. She was 77. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 PM on Monday, September 19, 2011 at Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church in Ville Platte. Interment will follow in the Belaire Cove Cemetery with Father Joshua Guillory as Celebrant.
Ruth was a very kind and loving woman and spending time with her family and friends brought a great deal of joy to her life. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary. She will be lovingly remembered by her beloved husband, Charles L. Crosby of Ville Platte daughter, Sally Ruth Bordelon and husband, Martin of Ville Platte brother, Edward Fontenot of Denham Springs sister, Sue Eubanks of Sulphur and her two precious grandchildren, Courtney Danielle Guillory, and Joby Martin Bordelon.
Now she rests in Heaven with her first husband, Elwood B. Fontenot,her parents, Henry and Delta Fontenot four brothers, Horace Fontenot, Alton Fontenot, Lawrence Fontenot, and Clayton Fontenot and three sisters, Iris Broussard, Aramis Vidrine, and Rose Fontenot.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Ville Platte on Sunday, September 18th from 4:00 pm until 10:00 pm and again on Monday, September 19th from 7:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm Sunday evening.
