Ville Platte Funeral services for Mrs. Runie V. Fontenot, 77, of Ville Platte will be held Saturday, March 31, 2007 at 12pm in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Old Ville Platte Cemetery. Fr. Michael Delcambre will officiate the services.

Mrs. Fontenot, a resident of Ville Platte, died Friday, March 30, 2007 at 1:21am in Evangeline Extended Care in Mamou. She was a loving mother and grandmother.

Survivors include three daughter, Brunella Reed and husband, Clyde of Rayne, Connie May and husband, John Larry of Duson, and Debra Sue Pere and husband, Ronnie of Maurice; two brothers, John Taylor Vidrine of New Orleans and Alphonse J. Vidrine of Plaisance; five grandchildren, three great grandchildren, three step grandchildren, and three step great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Hubert B. Fontenot; one son, Hubert B. Fontenot, Jr. and a grandson, Jonathan Ponthier.

Visitation will be held Friday, March 30, 2007 from 3pm until 10pm and on Saturday, 8am until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 6:30pm Friday.
