VILLE PLATTE- It is with great sadness that the family of Ruby Vidrine, age 94, announces her passing on Thursday, March 10, 2016 at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Ville Platte. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 12 PM at Our Lady Queen of all Saints Catholic Church in Ville Platte. Burial will follow in the Evangeline Memorial Park Cemetery with Father Mitchell Guidry, celebrant.
At the request of the Vidrine family, a visitation will be held on Friday, March 11, 2016 from 2 PM until 9 PM and will reopen Saturday at 8 AM until time of services. A rosary will be prayed in her honor Friday evening at 6:30 PM.
Mrs. Ruby was a member of Catholic Daughters and Come Lord Jesus for 50 years and was also a Eucharistic minister at Our Lady Queen of all Saints Catholic Church.
A loving mother, grandmother and friend, Mrs. Ruby will be greatly missed by her sons, James "Jimmy" Vidrine Sr. and wife Glenda of Ville Platte, Judge John Larry Vidrine and wife Melanie of Ville Platte and daughter-in-law, Linda Vidrine of Ville Platte. Also left behind to cherish her memory are her 6 grandchildren and 11 Great grandchildren.
She will now reunite in Heaven with her husband Loris Vidrine, parents, Jules and Emily Roberie, son, Ronald J. Vidrine and her 10 siblings.
All Arrangements are entrusted to Ardoin's Funeral Home of Ville Platte, Louisiana.
