Ville Platte Funeral services for Rose McDaniel Deshotels, 92, will be held Monday, January 14, 2008 at 1:15 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery. Fr. Josh Guillory will officiate the services.

Mrs. Deshotels, a native and a resident of Ville Platte, died Saturday, January 12, 2008 at 6:55a.m. in Eunice Extended Care Hospital. She was a registered nurse for 30 plus years having worked in Evangeline and St. Landry Parishes until retirement.

Survivors include, one son, Ellis Deshotels and wife, Elmina of Ville Platte; two daughters, Mrs. Leroy Dorothy Deshotels Penn of Houston and Mrs. Ray Patsy Deshotels Lavergne of Abbeville; eleven grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Deshotels and her parents, Pierre and Elizabeth McDaniel.

Visitation will be held Monday, January 14, 2008 from 9a.m. until time of services.
