VILLE PLATTEIt is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Rose Blevins, 80, announces her passing on Thursday, April, 26, 2012 at Savoy Medical Center in Mamou. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 12:00 PM Saturday, April 28, 2012 the services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Ville Platte. Rite of Committal will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery with Fr. Mitchell Guidry as Celebrant.
A devoted mother and grandmother, Rose is survived by her two sons: Kenneth Manuel and his wife, Pat of Eunice and Glenn Manuel of Ville Platte and her four daughters: Joan Posey and her husband, Jackie of Coushatta, Diana Fontenot and her husband, Randy of Mamou, Geneva Soileau of Ville Platte and Genevieve Fontenot also of Ville Platte. She also leaves behind her precious grandchildren she was blessed with nineteen grandchildren, twentyfive great grandchildren and seventeen greatgreat grand children.
Rose now joins in Heaven her beloved husband, Douglas Blevins, two of her children: Eddie James Hebert and Mary Elda Foret and her parents, Louis DeVille and Lastenie Dupre. They await her arrival with joyous hearts.
At the request of the family visitation will take place at Ardoins Funeral Home of Ville Platte beginning at 3:00 PM Friday, April 27, 2012 and will continue until the time of the services. A Rosary will be recited in her honor Friday evening at 6:30 PM.
