VILLE PLATTE It is with great sadness that the family of Rosabelle Fontenot, 83, announces her passing on Monday, January 30, 2012 at Savoy Medical Center in Mamou. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 01, 2012 at Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church in Ville Platte. Rite of Committal will follow in the Gates of Heaven Cemetery, also in Ville Platte. Fr. Mitchell Guidry will officiate the services.
A devoted mother, grandmother and sister, Rosabelle is survived by her loving son, Bryan Fontenot and his wife, Cenevieve, of Ville Platte. She also leaves behind her four precious grandchildren: Tiffiny Fontenot of Mamou, Richard Fontenot and his wife, Rhonda of Ville Platte, Marcus Fontenot and his wife, Britney of Ville Platte and Neal Fontenot and his wife, Shelly of Mamou. Her memory will most certainly be cherished by her twelve great grandchildren they were truly the light of her life. Rosabelle also leaves behind four sisters: Pearl McFarland of Sulphur, Wilma Deshotel of Sulphur, Delores Miller of Carlos and Aza Mae Fontenot of Ville Platte. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She now joins in Heaven, her beloved husband, Otis Fontenot, her parents, Lindsey and Anna Fontenot and one sister, Deanna Fontenot Totzer. They await her arrival with open arms and joyous hearts.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Ville Platte beginning Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at 5:00 PM and continuing until 10:00 PM. A Rosary will be recited Tuesday evening at 7:00 PM. Visitation will commence again at 8:00 AM Wednesday, February 01, 2012 and continue until time of services.
