Ville Platte Funeral services for Mr. Roland Fontenot,46, will be held Saturday, February 16, 2008 at 1pm in Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Chataignier. Burial will follow in the Attales Cemetery in Ville Platte. Deacon T.J. Richard will officiate the services.

Mr. Fontenot, a resident of Ville Platte, died Thursday, February 14, 2008.

Survivors include his wife, Louisa Ann Fontenot of Ville Platte; his mother, Bernadine V. Fontenot of Ville Platte; step son, Joshua Bordelon of Ville Platte; daughter, Sophie Alexis Fontenot of Ville Platte; one brother, Gordon Fontenot of Ville Platte; and one sister, Eva Reviere of Ville Platte.

He is preceded in death by a daughter, Chatelain Fontenot; his father, Hubert Fontenot, and a brother, James Carol Fontenot.

Visitation will be held Friday, February 15, 2008 from 6:30pm until 12am and on Saturday from 8am until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 7pm Saturday.
