VILLE PLATTE – Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Ville Platte, on Saturday, February 27, 2021 Robert Earl Leggett, 52, who passed away on Friday, February 13, 2021.

Robert Earl Leggett worked at Fugro Consultants Incorporation, doing Geotechnical work which included environmental sampling. He has worked for the past 20 years with his boss Ken Gorsha and the Gorsha family at Geotechnical Laboratory. His boss, Ken Gorsha described Robert as being the very best at his job and being a perfectionist, he required the same level of perfection from the workers he supervised. This gained him the nickname "The Super Driller". He was not only an employee and friend but considered family to the Gorsha's. On his time off from work, Robert enjoyed hobbies such as fishing, hunting, and most of all spending time with family and friends. He brought everyone together with his delicious meals, humorous laughter, and endless jokes. He was one who loved all the kids as if they were his own, this was probably due to him being such a big kid at heart. Everyone he has come to know has saved a special place in their hearts for him. He will forever be loved, and never forgotten.

He leaves behind family and friends who miss him dearly and will forever cherish his memory. His mother, Diana Vidrine: father, Glenn Leggett; stepmother Melissa Leggett; sister, Jacqueline Sue Leggett, and two half- brothers Zack and Baley Leggett. Also, by his niece, Diana Deshotel and nephew, John Deshotel. He will also be tremendously missed by his companion of many years Kathy Broussard and loving girlfriend Lashay Lee and adoringly loved his children Riley and Josie.

He was preceded by his maternal grandparents, John Huey Vidrine and Ruby Johnson, paternal grandparents Shirley and Bernice Leggett; and uncle, Todd Vidrine.

At the request of the family, visitation will take place at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Ville Platte on Saturday, February 27, 2021 from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM.
