VILLE PLATTE – Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM at Ardoin Funeral Home of Ville Platte on Friday, November 15, 2019 for Rebecca Edna Frechette, 58, who passed away on November 12, 2019 in Opelousas, LA surrounded by her loved ones.
Brother Gary Mitchell, pastor of First Baptist Church of Chataignier, will conduct the funeral service.
Burial will take place at M.B. Fontenot Cemetery.
Rebecca was born in Ville Platte, LA to Howard and Mildred LaCost Mayeaux. She was a lifelong educator in Evangeline Parish having taught at Mamou High, Ville Platte High, and Chataignier Elementary for over 24 years. She was loved by all who met her and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her two sons, Justin Howard Frechette and wife Dana Ann of Oakdale and Garrett Lee Frechette and husband Brent of Baton Rouge; three grandchildren, Chrislynn Destiny Frechette, Nyssa Calyse Frechette, and Bryce Joseph Albarado; five sisters, Andrea Hudson of Point Blue, Jackie Simons of Mississippi, Angela Mayeaux of Arkansas, Sissy Manuel of Ethel, and Diane LeBlue of Point Blue; and brother, Jerry Manuel of Zachary.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Mildred LaCost Mayeaux; and grandmother, Edna Vidrine.
The family requests that visitation be observed at Ardoin’s Funeral Home of Ville Platte on Thursday, November 14, 2019 from 11:00 AM until 10:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Friday from 8:00 AM until the time of service.
