KINGWOOD, TX - Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ville Platte on Thursday, November 15, 2018, for Raymond Lawrence Johnson, 66, who passed away on November 12, 2018 in Kingwood, TX.

Deacon Gary Gaudin will conduct all services.

Burial will take place in Christian Cemetery in Cheneyville, LA.

Raymond Lawrence Johnson was born in New Orleans, LA on November 24, 1951 to Ambrose Johnson, Sr. and Ebbie Burns Johnson. Raymond was known for his honesty, integrity, making people laugh, and influencing many people throughout his life. He had a great ability to motivate people and helped many people along the way. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, cooking, and listening to music on the weekends. Raymond's greatest joy was his family and did nearly everything with them. He loved them immensely and instilled many great values into his children. He worked hard to provide for his family and always wanted their lives to be greater and better than his own. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories his beloved wife of 47 years, Elizabeth Ann Manuel Johnson; three sons, Clint Johnson and wife Tanya of Kingwood, TX., Cory Johnson of Breaux Bridge; and Christopher Johnson and wife Kaleigh of Kingwood, TX; granddaughter, Ava Johnson; sisters, Annette Mayeaux of Lake Charles and Ann Trahan of Johnson Bayou; and brother, Ambrose Johnson, Jr. of Kingwood, TX.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, Ambrose Johnson, Sr. and Ebbie Burns Johnson; and mother in law, Anna Lee Manuel.

The family requests that visitation be observed at Ardoin's Funeral Home of Ville Platte on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Thursday from 9:00 AM until time of service.
