VILLE PLATTEA wonderful father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather and friend, Raphael Brignac known as Ray to all who knew him passed away on Friday, March 12, 2010 at his residence. He was 82. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 10:00 am on Monday, March 15 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ville Platte. Rite of Committal will follow in the Evangeline Memorial Cemetery with Father Clinton Sensat Celebrant.

Ray was an automotive mechanic and a resident of Ville Platte. He served his country proudly in the United States Army.

Ray was a loving father of six sons, Harper Brignac and wife, Paula, Rocklin Brignac all of Ville Platte, Devron Brignac, Stacy Brignac and wife, Dana and Peter Brignac and wife, Cindy all of Lafayette, Brett Brignac of Ville Platte and a daughter, Holley Brignac of Sunset. Dear brother of Beryl Brignac Ortego of Ville Platte. Sadly missed by his eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Now he rests in Heaven with his beloved wife, Verline V. Brignac his son, R. Berchman Brignac and his sister, MaeDell Brignac Briley.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Ville Platte on Sunday, March 14 from 10:00 am until 9:00 pm and again on Monday, March 15 from 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 6:30 pm Sunday evening.
