VILLE PLATTE- Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM for Randolph Harwell, 92, at Ardoin's Funeral Home of Ville Platte on Tuesday, October 24, 2017, who passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at Lane Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loved ones.

Deacon Chuck Ortego will be conducting the funeral services.

Rite of Committal will take place at Ferguson Cemetery.

Mr. Harwell was a veteran of the US Navy who served in WWII aboard the USS Mississippi BB-41. He was a hard worker in the oilfield for many years and an avid sportsman.

His memories will live on through his family. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Ortego Harwell. His sons Ted Harwell and wife Mona, of Mamou; Ed Harwell and wife Linda of Alexandria; Bill Harwell and wife Julie of Badger Pocket, Washington; his daughters Yvette Bieber and her husband Charles of Bayou Chicot and Melanie Harwell; his sister Pam Deville of Waco, Texas, 14 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Randolph is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Iona Hughes Harwell, his brother Walter Harwell, his sister Althea Harwell Leonards, and his previous wife, Elizabeth McDaniel Harwell.

The family request that visitation be observed at Ardoin's Funeral Home of Ville Platte on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 from 9:00 AM until time of service.
