VILLE PLATTE - It was great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Q L Fontenot, age 83, announces his passing on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at his residence. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, May 25, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church in Ville Platte. Rite of Committal will take place in the Gates of Heaven Cemetery with Fr. Mitchell Guidry celebrant
Q L was an avid hunter and fisherman and was known for his home grown tomatoes. He served his country proudly in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Q L's greatest love was his wife of 64 years Etheline Fontenot, his son Ricky Jude Fontenot, and wife Angela, his sister Ida Enicke, and his two grandchildren Kirsten Fontenot and Briggs Fontenot all of Ville Platte. They will miss him dearly and cherish the memories they shared together.
He now reunites in Heaven with his parents Lindsey and Edna Fontenot.
At the request of the Fontenot family, visitation will be held Sunday, May 24, 2015 from 10:00 AM until 10:00 PM and again on Monday, May 25, 2015 from 8:00 AM until time of service. A rosary will be recited in his honor Sunday evening at 6:00 PM.
