VILLE PLATTE It is with great sadness that the family of Phillip James Fusilier, 65, announces his passing on Tuesday, April 09, 2013 at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Ville Platte. A Christian Memorial Mass will be Celebrated at 4:00 pm on Thursday, April 11, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ville Platte with Father Garrett McIntyre Celebrant.

Phillip was a veteran of the United States Army, serving his country with great honor and pride during the Vietnam Era. He was a loving companion, father, brother, grandfather and friend and will forever remain in the hearts of his loving family, including his companion of 14 years, Joann Bordelon of Ville Platte son, Donovan Fusilier of Bunkie stepson, Trae Bordelon of Bossier City daughters, Candice Fusilier of Vidrine and Hannah Fusilier of Eunice stepdaughter, Paula OConner and husband, Peter, of Ville Platte brother, Charles Randall Fusilier of Ville Platte sisters, Nina F. Steward of Poplar Bluff, MO and Brenda F. Thomas of Bayou Chicot three grandchildren, Caroline Foret, Lyla Meaux, and Grayson Savoy and one stepgrandchild, Hunter OConner.

He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Marion and Mabel Fusilier and brother, Marion Brent Fusilier.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoins Funeral Home in Ville Platte on Thursday, April 11, 2013 from 8:30 am until time of Services. Military Services will be held Thursday at 3:15 pm, followed by a Rosary at 3:30 pm.
