Perry Lafleur

VILLE PLATTE – Funeral services will be held for Perry Lafleur, Sr. at 2:00 PM on Thursday, August 25, 2022, at Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel in Ville Platte, La. Services will be conducted by Deacon Ben Soileau. Burial will take place at the Attales Cemetery.

Perry Lafleur, Sr., age 74, a long-time resident of Bayou Chicot, passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2022. He was born on January 5, 1948, in Mamou to Eual Lafleur and Hazel Lebleu Lafleur. Perry served his country in the Army National Guard for 6 years. He was the youngest tool pusher on a Gold Rush Marine oil field rig. He also worked for Union Tank Car Company for 15 years. In his leisure time, Perry enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. More than anything, he enjoyed spending time with his family by cooking Sunday dinners and spoiling his grandkids.

Perry is survived by his wife of 54 years, Patricia “Pat” Lafleur; daughters, Shonda Lynn Soileau and husband, Chad, Natalie Christine Fontenot and husband, Jonathan; son, Joey Lafleur and wife, Melanie; grandchildren: Ronnie Veillon, Ashlee Smith, Cade Lafleur, Chase Lafleur, Sawyer Lafleur, Abigael Foster, Guy Ducote’ Jr., Cameron Ducote’, Cesili Bonnette, Chalie Soileau, Leah Crawford, Ian Fontenot, Noah Fontenot, Landrie Fontenot, Cole Fontenot, and several great-grandchildren; sisters, Terry Whittington and Wanda Haufler; brother, Randy Lafleur.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Eual Sr. and Hazel Lafleur, and brothers, Eual Lafleur Jr. Walter Lafleur, and Larry Lafleur.

Visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home of Ville Platte on Thursday, August 25, 2022, from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM service time.
