VILLE PLATTE-It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Perry Fontenot, 80, announces his passing on Thursday, April 23, 2015. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Sunday, April 26, 2015 at Our Lady Queen of all Saints at 4 PM. A burial will follow in the Evangeline Memorial Park Cemetery with Deacon Gene LeBouef as celebrant.
A loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend, Perry will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 58 years, Geraldine Brunet Fontenot of Ville Platte, children, Joan Fusilier and husband Rudy of Reddell, Ralph Fontenot of Ville Platte, Frances Manuel of New Iberia, Lonnie Fontenot of Ville Platte, and Whitney Fontenot of Ville Platte, brother, J.C. Fontenot of New Roads and sisters, Maxine Hukill of Ville Platte and Romona Prejean and husband Jimmy of Ville Platte. Also left behind to cherish his memory are his ten grandchildren: Jacob Fusilier, Benjamin Fusilier, Lauren Fusilier, Kelsey Fusilier, Steven Fontenot, Justin Fontenot, Megan Manuel, Journey Manuel, Garret Fontenot, Quintin Catoire and his eight great grandchildren.
Perry will now reunite in heaven with his parents Clarence and Iris Fontenot. They will be awaiting his arrival with open arms and joyous hearts.
At the request of the Fontenot family, a visitation will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2015 from 1 PM until 8 PM and will reopen again on Sunday, April 26, 2015 at 10 AM. A rosary will be recited in Mr. Fontenot's honor on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 6 PM.
All arrangements have been entrusted to Ardoin's Funeral Home of Ville Platte.
