GRAND PRAIRIE - Funeral services will be held at a 3:00 PM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Grand Prairie on Thursday, February 21, 2019 for Paul Louis Costanza, 91, who passed away on February 18, 2019 at his residence in Grand Prairie.
Father Daniel Picard, pastor of St. Peters Catholic Church, will be celebrant of the mass and will conduct funeral service.
Burial will take place in St. Peters Cemetery.
Mr. Costanza was born on January 24, 1928 to Victor Costanza and Jeanette Montelon Costanza. He served his country in the US Army and was proud of his service to his country. He supported his family as a rice farmer and cattleman in the Grand Prairie area all his life. He enjoyed hunting, but his passion was fishing and tending his cattle. He loved spending time with his family and friends and will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his two sons; Anthony P. Costanza and wife Angie and Joe Costanza and wife Joanne, four daughters; Deborah Costanza Brignac, Stephanie Costanza, Phyllis Foret, and Joyce Stelly and husband Chuck; 18 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; three sister in laws, Faye Bordelon, Charline Fusilier and Sheral Ortego and husband Jack.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Janva Dale Costanza; one grandson, James Foret, II; one great granddaughter, Olivia Jones; three sisters, Mary Bufkin, Maggie Edwards and Elvina Vidrine; four brothers, Sam, Joe, Frank and Tony Costanza.
Pallbearers will be his seven grandsons, Charles Brignac, Eric Foret, Johnathon Castille, Paul "Lil Paul" Costanza, Lil Joe Costanza, Gabe Stelly and Lance Costanza.
The family requests that visitation be observed at Ardoin's Funeral Home of Ville Platte on Thursday, February 21, 2019 from 9:00 AM to service time. A rosary will be recited on Thusday at 12:00 PM by Fr. Picard.
