Funeral services for Patty Ray Deshotels, 76, the former Patty Ray Demourelle will be held Wednesday, December 27, 2006 at 10am in St. Anns Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Pine Point Cemetery in Mamou. Fr. Bob Courville will preside over the services.

Mrs. Deshotels, a resident of Mamou, a native of Ville Platte, died Saturday, December 23, 2006 at Savoy Medical Center. Patty was a Retired Medical Assistant.

Survivors include her husband, Weber Lee Deshotels, Sr. of Mamou; three sons, James Richard Deshotels and wife, Charlotte of Baton Rouge, Weber Lee Deshotels, Jr. of Ville Platte, and Mark Jerry Deshotels of Mamou; three daughters, Margaret D. Smith and husband, Gene of Denham Springs, Jency D. Cagle and husband, Ronald of Zachary, and Suzanne D. Vidrine and husband, Benny of Mamou; thirteen grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Hattie Demourelle and one grandson, Lance Vidrine.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 26, 2006 from 10am until 10pm and Wednesday 8am until time of services. A rosary will be held at 7pm on Tuesday.
