Ville Platte It is with great sadness that the family of Ocie Monroe, 90 announces his passing on Sunday, June 13, 2010 at Evangeline Extended Care Hospital in Mamou. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Lake Cove Baptist Church. Rite of Committal will follow in the Gates of Heaven Cemetery with Bro. Ervin Goodman officiate.
A loving husband, brother, and friend Ocie will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Annie M. Monroe of Ville Platte one sister, Sylvia Ruth Rains of Alexandria and a special little girl in his life, Elizabeth King.
He now rest in Heaven with his parents, Marshall and Amanda Monroe two brothers, W.J. Monroe and James Monroe and two sisters, Ruby Lee Wagner and Thelma Mae Monroe.
The family request that visiting hours be observed Monday, June 14, 2010 at Lake Cove Baptist Church from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and again on Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
