Ville Platte Funeral services for Mr. Norman J. Tate, 70, will be held Friday, May 23, 2008 at 1pm in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Evangeline Memorial Cemetery. Fr. Gene Tremie will officiate the services.

Mr. Tate, a resident of Ville Platte, died Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at 2:17 am in Heritage Manor Nursing Home.

Survivors include his wife, Jeanette Jean Cary Tate of Ville Platte; three sons, Paul Mitchell Tate and wife, Peggy of Ville Platte, Timothy Norman Tate and wife, Joelene of Lake Charles, and Christopher Tate and wife, Rene of Ville Platte; one brother, Wilbur Tate of Ville Platte, one sister, Charlene Pitre of Ville Platte; six grandchildren and one great grandchild.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Berthmance and Gladys Tate.

Visitation will be held Thursday, May 22, 2008 from 1pm 10pm and on Friday from 8am until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 5pm Thursday.
