Ville Platte - Funeral Services will be held at a 12:00 PM Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Friday, July 27, 2018, for Murray Joseph "Polly" Ardoin, 89, who passed away on July 19, 2018 in Mamou, LA.
Father Blake Dubrock will be celebrant of the mass and will conduct all funeral services.
Entombment will follow in the Sacred Heart Mausoleum.
Murray Ardoin was born on September 10, 1928 to his father, Lindsey Ardoin and his mother, Lillian Deshotel. He worked as a Foreman for the State of Louisiana Highway Department. He enjoyed his horses and cattle, as well as working on his farm.
Murray is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Grace Ardoin; parents Lindsey Ardoin and Lillian Deshotel; and two sisters, Myrtis Bogard and Maxie Rozas.
Murray is survived by his sons, Steven Ardoin and wife, Evelyn of Vidrine and Joseph "Tony" Ardoin and wife, Theresa of Youngsville; daughters, Judith Ardoin Rolon and husband Orlando of Carencro, Tammy Ardoin Villalobos and husband Angel of Lafayette, and Sharon Ardoin of Youngsville; brothers, Nolan Ardoin and E.J. Ardoin both of Carencro; sister, Adean Lafleur of Pine Prairie; grandchildren, Josh, Sonja, Alex, Alisha, Andrew, Jerrad, Lindsey, Kristen, Chance, and Megan; and great grandchildren, Jackson, Savannah, Aquamarine.
The family requests that visitation be observed at Ardoin's Funeral Home of Ville Platte on Thursday, July 26, 2018 from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM. A Rosary will be recited by Deacon Ben Soileau at 6:30 PM. Visitation will resume on Friday, July 27 from 9:00 AM until the time of service.
