PINE PRAIRIE Funeral services for Mrs. Mona Vee Savage Fontenot will be at 1:00 PM Monday, November 17, 2008 at Calvary Baptist Church in Bayou Chicot. Burial will be in the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Pineville.

Mrs. Savage, 82, of Pine Prairie died Friday, November 14, 2008 at Ville Platte Medical Center.

Mrs. Savage worked as a nurse in Ville Platte until her retirement and was also owner of Savages Save A lot in Tioga. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Bayou Chicot.

A loving mother and grandmother, she is survived by one son John S. Fontenot of Pine Prairie, one daughter, Susan D. Norris of Ashland City, Tennessee, nine grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren, three step sons Don Savage, John Savage, and Lamar Savage, one step daughter Vickie Dickens, twelve step grandchildren, and 12 step great grandchildren.

Mrs. Savage is preceded in death by her husband, E.W. Savage, her daughter, Carolyn Vee Crooks, and a step-son, Ricky Savage.

Visitation will be at Calvary Baptist Church in Bayou Chicot on Sunday, November 16, 2008 from 2 PM until 9 PM and again on Monday, November 17, 2008 from 8 AM until time of service.
