MAMOU It is with great sadness that the family of Mitchell Paul Fontenot, 45, announces his passing on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at his residence. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday, July 1, 2010 at 3 PM at St. Anns Catholic Church with burial to follow in the Ortego Cemetery.
Mr. Fontenot was the owner of Pauls Small Engines in Mamou and was a volunteer fireman. A loving son, brother, and uncle, he will be sadly missed by his parents, Buzz and Emma Fontenot, two sisters Lisa Fontenot of Ville Platte and Renee Persicky of Spokane, Washington, three nephews and one niece.
The family request that visiting hours be observed Wednesday, June 30, 2010 from 2 PM to 10 PM and again on Thursday, July 1 ,2010 from 8 AM until time of services. A rosary will be recited Wednesday evening at 6:30 PM.
