VILLE PLATTE-It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of Michael J. Stark announces his passing on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 in Ville Platte at the age of 69.

At the request of the family, visitation will begin at Ardoin's Funeral Home of Ville Platte on Sunday, February 26, 2017, from 10:00 AM until time of service. A Memorial Service will be conducted on Sunday at 1:00 PM at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Ville Platte. Inurnment will take place at Belaire Cove Cemetery. Father Taj Glodd will officiate services.

Michael was the owner and operator of Stark Mechanics for 9 years. He previously worked for John Deere in Ville Platte and Eunice for over 20 years. Michael enjoyed hunting, fishing, arts & crafts, reading the newspaper, but especially loved his family. His grandchildren were his pride and joy.

Michael will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him especially his wife, Sandra Stark, daughters, Janet Vidrine and husband Gregory and Karen James Stark, brother, Timm Stark, and grandchildren, Michael James, Zachary James, Gavin James, Tressa Vidrine and Alex Vidrine.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Julius Stark, Jr. and Phyllis Stark, daughter, Becky Stark Lafleur, and brothers, David Stark and Richard Stark.

The family has entrusted Ardoin's Funeral Home of Ville Platte with arrangements (709 W. Main St., Ville Platte, LA 70586).
