VILLE PLATTE - Michael "Mike" Rene Mouton went home to his heavenly reward surrounded by his loving family and friends on Friday, October 28, 2016, at the age of 47.
Mike was a kind hearted man who lived life to the fullest and enjoyed every moment. His family was his number one priority, his pride and joy, he put his entirety in making sure they were successful. He was a wonderful provider for his family. He was previously employed as a school bus driver for Evangeline Parish and loved ensuring the kids safety to and from school. He was a cattle rancher and was involved in forestry for many years. Mike will be sadly missed by all those who knew and loved this great man.
Mike leaves behind to cherish his memories, his loving wife of 30 years Betty Mouton, mother Dorothy "Dot" Mouton, sons Michael Rene Mouton, Jr. and Mark Joseph Mouton, brothers Blake, David, and Mitchell Mouton, sister Jennifer Mouton Leger, three grandchildren Braylan, Caiden and Mark, Jr. Mike joins in heaven his father Howard Mouton.
The family requests visitation to be observed on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 beginning at 3pm until 9pm at Ardoin Funeral Home in Ville Platte. Visitation will continue Wednesday at 8am until time of services. Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Kevin West at 1pm in the Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel. Mike will be laid to rest in the Vandenburg Cemetery in Bayou Chicot.
