Ville Platte Funeral services for Michael Scott Fontenot, 21, will be held Saturday, October 18, 2008 at 9:30 a.m. in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Platin Cemetery. Fr. Gene Tremie will officiate the services.

Mr. Fontenot, a resident of Ville Platte, died Tuesday, October 14, 2008.

A loving father, son, and brother he is survived by his mother, Linda Fontenot Lee of Ville Platte; maternal grandmother, Beverly Fontenot of Ville Platte; an infant son; a daughter, Brianna Lynn Fontenot of Ville Platte; two brothers, Jonathan Paul Fontenot and wife, Raven of Port Barre and Bobby Lee, Jr. of Ville Platte; and two nieces, Sadonia Fontenot and Emily Rose Fontenot.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, James M. Fontenot and his step father, Bobby Lee.

Family request that visiting hours be observed Friday, October 17, 2008 from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. and on Saturday from 8 a.m. until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Friday.
