Ville Platte It is with great sadness that the family of Mena Ortego, 90 announces her passing on Thursday, January 7, 2010 at Ville Platte Medical Center. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, January 9, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Rite of Committal will follow in the Sacred Heart Mausoleum with Fr. Sensat Celebrant.
Mena will be lovingly remembered by a sister, Alice Guillory of Iowa a brother, Jessie Vidrine of Kaplan host of nieces, nephews, sistersinlaw, and brothersinlaw.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sylvan Ortego brothers, Cyle Vidrine,, Joseph Vidrine, Ernest Vidrine, and Leroy Vidrine and sisters, Cora Mounier, Alia Vidrine, and Anna Mae Fontenot.
The family request that visiting hours be observed Friday, January 8, 2010 from 12:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and again on Saturday, January 9, 2010 from 8:00 a.m. until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Friday evening.
