Ville Platte Funeral services for Mrs. Melande Vidrine, 86, will be held Wednesday, August 1, 2007 at 2pm in Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Te Mamou Cemetery. Fr. Guillory will officiate the services.

Mrs. Vidrine, a resident of Ville Platte, died Monday, July 30, 2007 at 6:30pm in Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Ville Platte.

Survivors include one son, James Vidrine and wife, Julia of Cottonport; two daughters, Mary Ann Schnexyader and husband, Hilton of Crowley and Janice Deville and husband, Carl of Ville Platte; three sisters, Odette Landreneau of Ville Platte, Vergie Soileau of Opelousas, and Pearl Veillon of Lake Charles; ten grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Walter Vidrine; a son, Gervis Vidrine; a daughter, Barbara Vidrine; parents, Samuel and Camille Veillon; and a brother, Harris Veillon.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 31, 2007 from 5pm until 10pm and on Wednesday from 8am until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 6:30pm Tuesday.
