VILLE PLATTE It is with great sadness that the family of Mary Veillon, 95, announces her passing on Sunday, September 18, 2011 at Mercy Regional Medical Center. A mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at 9:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church in Ville Platte. Rite of committal will be in the Evangeline Memorial Park Cemetery with Fr. McIntire officiating the services.
A loving mother, grandmother, and friend, Mary leaves behind to cherish her memory two sons James Pap Veillon and wife Lou of Ville Platte and Charles Veillon and wife Judy of Sunset, one daughter Nell Veillon of Lafayette, three grandchildren, Jan Veilllon Monroe, Charles Chuck Veillon Jr. and Chad Veillon, 7 great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren, and two special pet companions Sammy and Annie.
She now joins in heaven her husband Harry Veillon and her parents Raoul and Eleanor Attales.
At the request of the family visitation will take place at Ardoins Funeral Home in Ville Platte Monday, September 19, 2011 from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM and again on Tuesday from 8:00 AM until time of service. A rosary will be recited Monday evening at 7:00 PM.
