VILLE PLATTE It is with great sadness that the family of Mary Rose Pommier, 80, announces her passing on Friday, September 14, 2012. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, September 17, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church. Rite of committal will follow in the M. B. Fontenot Cemetery with Father Mitchell Guidry celebrant.
A loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Rose will be lovingly remembered by her six children Nick Pommier and wife Betty of Port Barre, Bobby Pommier and wife Tammy of Mamou, Cindy Foxworth and husband Chip of Ville Platte, Tony Pommier and wife Melissa of Vidrine, Alice Guillory and husband Randy of Bayou Chicot, and Monique Crochet and husband Preston of Thibodeaux, and her 21 grandchildren Christine Pommier, Missy Vidrine, Megan Firman, Nicole Pommier, Britney Fontenot, Ben Foxworth, Brad Foxworth, Beau Foxworth, Breanne Foxworth, Tabatha Ortego, Summer Gaspard, Jordan Gaspard, Courtney Pommier, Spencer Pommier, Joshua Guillory, Brandon Guillory, Zack Guillory, Gabrielle Guillory, Lance Crochet, Lacey Crochet, and Liliah Crochet. Also left behind to cherish her memory are her eleven loving great grandchildren Wesley Launey, Adeline Launey, Sophia Fontenot, Cameron Vidrine, Cole Launey, Taylor Launey, Tori Launey, Jay Guillory, Corine Guillory, Channing Crochet, and Kristin Vidrine.
She now joins in heaven her beloved husband George Roland Pommier, her daughter Suzanne Gaspard, and her son Benny Pommier.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held on Sunday, September 16, 2012 at Ardoins Funeral Home in Ville Platte from 9:00 AM until 10:00 PM and again on Monday, September 17, 2012 from 8:00 AM until time of service. A rosary will be recited in Roses honor Sunday evening at 6:30 PM.
